Salary Range: $59,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Wyoming that are seeking Lead Machinists. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train junior machinists on equipment operation and safety protocols.
• Program, set up, and operate advanced CNC machinery for complex part production.
• Perform precision machining operations to tight tolerances using various materials.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and calibration of machinery to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance, adhering to specifications and standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience as a machinist, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Proficiency in setting up, operating, and programming CNC mills and lathes.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming.
• Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes for efficiency and quality.
• Experience with various machining materials and tooling selection.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming and simulation
• Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines (lathes, mills, 5-axis)
• Certification in a relevant field (e.g., NIMS, Tool & Die Maker)
• Experience with various materials (e.g., exotic alloys, plastics, composites)
