Overview
University of Michigan Health-West is seeking a part-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP). Candidate will need to coordinate and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a positive experience for all patients, families, and staff.
Responsibilities- Ability to work closely with a partnering team of specialists encompassing 37+ specialty care and hospital-based service lines.
- Demonstrates expertise in neonatal assessment, interpretation of physical and psychological status of infants and families, therapeutic interventions, and the implementation of the plan of care including discharge planning.
- Discriminates between normal and abnormal findings obtained by history, physical screening, behavioral assessments, and in collaboration with the designated physician, implements an appropriate management plan.

- State of Michigan Advanced Practice Licensure required. Master’s degree with Neonatal Nurse Practitioner training and certification.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an RN, of which at least two are in a Level III NICU; certification (ANA/AWHONN) as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (within 12 months of program completion if graduate NNP).
- State of Michigan Advanced Practice Licensure required. Master’s degree with Neonatal Nurse Practitioner training and certification.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an RN, of which at least two are in a Level III NICU.
- Certification (ANA/AWHONN) as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (within 12 months of program completion if graduate NNP).
