Software Development Team Lead
The Software Development Team Lead provides leadership direction to the technical team in the delivery of software project components and technical expertise. The role collaborates with Designers, Business and Systems Analysts, Project Managers, and developers on various projects, focusing on application product delivery aspects.
What you will do- Provide technical leadership for projects and serve as point of contact in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Develop the vision for a project, including identification of and agreement on problems to be solved, system stakeholders, boundaries, and primary features.
- Analyze current business systems, determine scope, and estimate effort for each scope element.
- Assist in designing GUI and software components.
- Perform requirement analysis, including determination of actors, use cases, and the development of business and systems use cases.
- Coordinate development efforts, lead code reviews, and ensure compliance with quality control processes.
- Construct software components, validate completeness, and verify quality.
- Assist in monitoring project activities, defining best practices, and initiating process improvements.
- Contribute to hiring decisions and performance evaluations; mentor and motivate developers.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
- Hybrid schedule: 4 days in office in Wyoming, MI with 1 day remote
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.
- Five to eight years of software engineering experience with at least one year of leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Excellent leadership skills to mentor and motivate developers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to resolve problems.
- Good time‑management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and work independently or within a team environment.
- Demonstrated drive and initiative, with a high level of motivation toward company, team, and individual results, and maintaining focus on priorities.
- Ability to develop solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
