The Role
Our client, a leading manufacturer in the powersports and recreational vehicle industry, is seeking a Product Compliance Specialist to support certification and regulatory compliance efforts for snowmobile products. This role is responsible for maintaining product certifications, monitoring global regulatory requirements, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet applicable compliance standards throughout the development lifecycle.

Job DescriptionAs a Product Compliance Specialist, you will play a key role in securing and maintaining product certifications, tracking regulatory developments, and supporting compliance-by-design initiatives for new and existing products.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and maintain snowmobile emissions and product certifications, including:
- U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
- Snowmobile Safety and Certification Committee (SSCC)
- Transport Canada
- European Union Type Approval
- Other international regulatory certifications
- Support engineering research and development efforts to ensure compliance requirements are incorporated into product design.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and marketing teams to achieve timely compliance validation, approvals, and product implementation.
- Conduct compliance reviews within product development and part release processes.
- Serve as a point of contact for regulatory agencies and third-party certification organizations as needed.
- Monitor industry regulations and represent the organization on technical committees and industry associations when assigned.
- Maintain and support the continuous improvement of compliance processes, systems, and documentation.
- Track pre-certification vehicles and engines and monitor warranty claims in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and compliance documentation.
- Assist with compliance initiatives across additional product lines as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high ethical standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
- Previous experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs, vehicle certification, or a related field.
- Knowledge of emissions certification and regulatory compliance processes.
- Familiarity with powersports, recreational vehicles, or vehicle systems.
- Experience working with domestic and international regulatory requirements.
- Enthusiasm for powersports, off-road vehicles, snowmobiles, or related products.
