TitleSpecialist Engineer – Engine Integration
Job SummaryLeads the customer‑centric execution of safety, quality, cost, schedule, and performance goals for snowmobile systems specific to 2‑stroke and 4‑stroke engine integration, following the Polaris Development Process (PDP). Responsibilities include customer satisfaction, warranty, field issue resolution, and planned change implementation. Must love to ride snowmobiles and win.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Immerse in consumer insights and leverage the Polaris Development Process (PDP) to ensure all system, subsystem, and component requirements are clearly defined, documented, and achieved.
- Design and develop industry‑leading snowmobiles with a focus on systems engineering for engine integration, including (but not limited to) exhaust systems, throttle control systems, starting systems, engine controls, and mounting.
- Drive clear system specifications, own system DFMEAs, and leverage ALD for early engineering.
- Support creation and maintenance of system integration design guidelines and validation plans.
- Collaborate with project leads, systems engineers, development engineers, and development technicians to support project goals and detailed system specifications.
- Lead design reviews to ensure appropriate input and involvement from all engineering and functional groups.
- Lead DFM alignment with purchasing, supplier quality, and manufacturing teams for owned systems.
- Ride snowmobiles for field development and performance evaluation.
- Benchmark competitive designs.
- Analyze manufacturing and field problems and implement effective solutions.
- Provide technical support for sales and marketing information, as well as service publications.
- Serve as the point of contact for sustaining engineering activities for engine integration components, with potential expansion to other snowmobile subsystems. Support quality, reliability, performance, and cost‑improvement initiatives while leading countermeasures for production and supply‑chain challenges.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Riding experience and a passionate interest in snowmobiles.
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- 3+ years of engineering design, systems engineering, or project engineering experience.
- Strong technical background, aptitude, and ability to make trade‑offs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to form effective business relationships with managers, leaders, and staff.
- Decisive, action‑oriented, and strong in self‑leadership.
- Customer‑focused with high attention to detail and quality.
- Excellent project planning, organizational, and administrative skills.
- Understanding of how program objectives, tools, and resources relate cross‑functionally.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Sincere desire to exceed customer expectations.
- Dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Time split between office, shop/test labs, and field.
- Global travel up to 30% or more in season; potentially less in the off‑season.

Pay RangeStarting pay range for Minnesota: $78,000 to $103,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a variety of factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
