POSITION SUMMARYThe Electrical Engineering Technician supports the design, development, testing, and production implementation of electrical and electronic systems used in fire apparatus. This role bridges electrical engineering design and manufacturing execution by translating electrical concepts, schematics, and specifications into functional prototypes and production-ready solutions. The Technician works closely with Electrical Engineers, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to develop wiring architectures, control systems, and electrical sub-systems that meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
This position plays a critical role in validating designs through testing, troubleshooting electrical issues in production and the field, and ensuring electrical systems are reliable, serviceable, and manufacturable.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience- High school diploma required.
- CAD experience preferred.
- 1 – 2 years of structural design/drafting experience is preferred.
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related is preferred.
- Product data management utilizing CAD and PDM systems.
- Experience in heavy truck systems and/or automotive systems is preferred.
- Understanding manufacturing processes for efficient assembly and serviceability. Understanding the custom manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of firefighting equipment is preferred.
