POSITION SUMMARY

The Spare Parts List Coordinator is responsible for developing, maintaining, and validating accurate spare parts lists used by customers, service technicians, and internal teams. This role works closely with Engineering, BOM Specialists, and Service teams to ensure exploded-view illustrations and associated parts data are correct, compliant, and clearly communicated. The coordinator plays a key role in supporting aftermarket parts accuracy and serviceability throughout the product lifecycle.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Spare Parts Documentation & Data Accuracy
    • Analyze 3D assemblies and exploded-view illustrations to identify individual components and serviceable parts.
    • Assign correct part numbers to components based on engineering documentation, bills of materials (BOMs), and sourcing data.
    • Ensure spare parts lists are accurate, complete, and aligned with current product configurations.
    • Maintain consistency between illustrations, parts lists, and engineering revisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with Engineering, BOM Specialists, Sourcing, and Service teams to validate part definitions and applicability.
    • Participate in design change reviews to assess impact on spare parts documentation.
    • Support Service and Aftermarket teams by resolving parts identification questions and discrepancies.
  • Documentation Control & Continuous Improvement
    • Maintain version control, revision tracking, and traceability for spare parts list updates.
    • Support updates and corrections driven by product changes, obsolescence, or field feedback.
    • Help improve documentation standards, workflows, and tools related to spare parts identification.
    • Ensure documentation practices align with company standards and quality requirements.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the supervisor to meet the needs of the department.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA's):
    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.


    Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting, Technical Documentation, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience required.
    • Experience working with spare parts, assemblies, or technical documentation preferred.
    • Familiarity with CAD, illustration, or 3D visualization tools preferred (PTC Creo Illustrate strongly preferred).
    Skills:
    • Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, assemblies, and bills of materials.
    • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
    • Basic understanding of product configurations and component hierarchy.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 or similar office software.
    Abilities:
    • Able to deal with problems involving a variety of variables in non-standard situations.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Able to work professionally with customers/dealerships and internal customers to accomplish common goals.
    • Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.
    • Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
    • Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.
