Job Overview
The Community Service Officer (CSO) position performs various non-criminal public safety services for Wyoming Public Safety and the City of Wyoming. The CSO will assist sworn officers with duties as requested, be aware of and report criminal activity in the City, participate and stay proficient in department defensive tactics, maintain the speed trailer, traffic control, respond to and investigate non-criminal incidents, and complete reports that accurately document work.

This is a non-sworn, uniformed role that may lead to a full-time Police Officer position. The CSO position is limited to a maximum of 24 hours per week and a maximum duration of 3 years. A temporary extension may be considered to allow participation in one Police Officer hiring process with the City of Wyoming.
