Data Analyst, Data Science Manager
Position Overview
You will lead the strategy and execution of quality systems analytics, transforming enterprise data into actionable insights that support operational excellence and continuous improvement. In this role, you will oversee reporting, dashboards, and data integrity across core Quality Management Systems (QMS), including customer feedback, warranty, CAPA, audits, and product development. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure data‑driven decision‑making aligns with business priorities and enhances visibility into quality performance.
This role offers the opportunity to shape enterprise‑wide quality analytics and influence strategic decisions through data insights.
- Define and execute enterprise QMS analytics and reporting strategy, including KPI frameworks, data governance, and standardization.
- Work with process SMEs to identify "Key to Quality" processes, metrics to monitor efficacy, and performance targets to achieve business objectives.
- Analyze quality system data across functions to identify trends, systemic issues, risks, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of global quality data while advancing digital maturity of reporting processes.
- Apply statistical methods, advanced analytics, and forecasting techniques to enable risk‑based decision making.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and executive‑level presentations.
- Lead management reviews of QMS performance and recommend system and process improvements.
- Provide forward‑looking analysis and scenario planning to support strategic decision making.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to improve data quality, system integration, and reporting automation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop quality analysts and support training on quality systems and best practices.
- Serve as a liaison between Quality, IT, and business teams to align data solutions with organizational needs.

- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Operations, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, and/or quality environments.
- Demonstrated experience with quality systems, analytics, or Lean methodologies.
- Proven leadership and project management experience.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Power BI.
- Experience applying statistical analysis or data analytics techniques preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve complex problems, and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work effectively in evolving environments and adapt to changing priorities.
- Some travel required (up to 10%).
- This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
The starting pay range for Minnesota is $140,000 to $184,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
