Position SummaryThe Customer Service & Parts Data Intern will support a technical data organization and library development project to ensure all Rosenbauer apparatus, past and present, have accessible technical documentation. Throughout this project, the Intern will be exposed to a broad range of cross‑functional processes and departments to gather the needed information and learn about the automotive and fire industries. The project involves auditing, organizing, and migrating critical technical documents into a structured SharePoint library that will be used by both the Customer Service and Aftermarket Parts teams, and will have a lasting impact on the organization.
EssentialFunctions
Knowledge, Education, and/or
Experience:
- Pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in Data Processing, Business Management, Business Administration, Technical Writing, Library Science, Engineering, or Information Management required.
- Experience with digital archiving, metadata tagging, and document management best practices preferred.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail preferred.
- Able to read and interpret scientific and technical documents.
- Able to follow written and verbal directions.
- Basic math functions and accounting abilities with a high aptitude for accuracy.
- Ability to perform intermediate PC functions including spreadsheet formulas and functions, queries, tables, merges, and special reports.
- Able to deal with problems involving a variety of variables in standardized situations.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.
- Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
- Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.
- Driving license.
- Own vehicle.
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends occasionally; overtime as needed to meet the needs of the department.
- Travel local.
- Travel overnight.
- Travel prolonged periods.
- Other qualifications as applicable.
