Since 1952, we've been creating memorable experiences for families through our Fall Festival, Pumpkin Patch, attractions, food, live entertainment, and special events. Each fall, our team welcomes thousands of guests and works together to provide a fun, safe, and unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages.

Pinehaven Farm | Fall Seasonal Position | Saturdays & Sundays, Approximately 10 AM–6 PM

Do you have a knack for machinery, a good sense of humor, and the confidence to talk to a crowd? Then you might be the person we're looking for to operate Farfel the Pumpkin-Eating Dragon!

Farfel is a large hydraulic, mechanical dragon that comes to life in front of our guests during the fall season. As the operator, you'll be behind the scenes controlling Farfel's movements while interacting with the crowd through a microphone—all while staying in character and following a script.

• Safely operate Farfel's hydraulic and mechanical systems during live performances
• Follow established operating procedures and safety protocols
• Interact with guests using Farfel's character voice and personality
• Follow the provided script while keeping performances fun and engaging
• Monitor the equipment throughout the day and communicate any mechanical or operational concerns
• Help with general farm, entertainment, and guest service tasks when Farfel is not performing
• Work as part of the Pinehaven Farm team to help create a fun and safe experience for our guests

• Mechanically inclined and comfortable learning how machinery and hydraulic systems operate
• A person who is smart, observant, and safety-minded
• Comfortable following detailed procedures and recognizing when something isn't operating correctly
• Able to remain calm and make good decisions while operating equipment in front of a crowd
• Comfortable speaking to large groups and performing in a character voice
• Dependable and able to work independently
• Friendly, energetic, and willing to jump in and help wherever needed
• Previous mechanical or equipment experience is helpful, but we're willing to train the right person

This is not a typical entertainment team position. Farfel is a complex piece of machinery, and operating him requires focus, good judgment, and respect for the equipment. Safety is our top priority—for both the operator and our guests.

Saturdays and Sundays, approximately 10 AM–6 PM
Available throughout the Pinehaven Farm fall season.

Looking for more than a seasonal position? Applicants with strong mechanical or maintenance skills may have opportunities to join the Pinehaven Farm team in a full-time, year-round role.
