POSITION SUMMARYThe Paint Cut Welder will perform detailed layouts based on drawing specifications. They will drill out holes in the body of the apparatus to make way for a variety of different equipment to be installed. Also, they will weld brackets and other metal pieces onto the cab to hold items to be installed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Performs detailed layouts based on drawing specifications.
- Drills out holes in the body of the apparatus to make way for a variety of different equipment to be installed.
- Welds brackets and other metal pieces onto the cab to hold items to be installed.
- Performs an inspection of the cab before any work is done to the cab to make sure that it is correct.
- Drill and weld according to the blueprint and specifications book.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Previous welding experience required.
- Previous MIG and TIG welding experience preferred.
- Welding certificate preferred.
- Strong mechanical and technical ability required.
- Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books.
- Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately.
- Able to follow written and verbal directions.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot.
- Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed.
- Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.
- Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
- Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.
- Driving- license:
May be required to operate company vehicles to move parts needed from building to building for production purposes. - Driving
