POSITION SUMMARYThe AC & DC Electrician will be responsible for all 100v and 24v wires and equipment to be installed. They will read truck specification books to know what all is required. The AC & DC Electrician will install all electrical components onto the fire apparatus. Also, they will prepare for light installation by drilling holes and fabricating.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Installs all electrical components onto ARFF fire apparatus and performs any cable management as needed.
- Routes and equips 100v and 24v wires in Panthers in order to connect the electrical components of the truck.
- Tests equipment and diagnose electrical problems.
- Prepares for light installation by drilling holes and fabricating.
- Reads truck specification books to know what all is required to complete the build of the fire truck apparatus.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.

- High school diploma/GED.
- Strong mechanical and technical ability required.
- Low voltage electrical experience required.
- 110V Electrical experience preferred.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Language:
Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books. - Language:
Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately. - Language:
Able to follow written and verbal directions. - Math:
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. - Computer:
Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot.
- Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed.
- Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.
- Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
- Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.

- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends occasionally; overtime as needed.
