Salary Range

$40,289.17 – $42,328.81 DOE, Full-Time, Grade 12

Hours of work

8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday-Friday.

Position Description

This position performs administrative duties in support of department operations.

Major Duties
  • Answers phones; greets visitors; provides information and assistance; takes messages; refers to appropriate personnel.
  • Enters and balances state assessed property data.
  • Process Transfers of ownership and land splits.
  • Processes agricultural land applications.
  • Updates property records.
  • Processes veterans’ exemption applications.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills
  • Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of personal computers and job‑related software programs.
  • Skill in the provision of customer services.
  • Skill in analyzing problems and identifying solutions.
  • Skill in establishing cooperative and productive working relationships.
  • Skill in performing mathematical calculations.
  • Skill in operating computers and other standard office equipment.
  • Skill in interpersonal relations.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.
  • Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years of experience or service.
  • Ability to meet necessary requirements to become a Certified Ad Valorem Appraiser as mandated by the Wyoming Department of Revenue.
