General Description
Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is seeking a Temporary Seasonal Construction Technician in Laramie, WY to perform basic construction tasks under supervision to provide a safe and effective transportation system.
Description and FunctionsThis is a temporary, full‑time position that could last up to 9 months.

- Construction tasks including performing basic lab tests and survey procedures.
- Perform construction inspections.
- Prepare and check calculations and data.
Preference may be given to individuals who can perform algebraic calculations.
Knowledge and Skills- Knowledge of materials testing.
- Knowledge of surveying methods and equipment operations.
- Knowledge of construction inspection, including interpretation of plans and specifications.
- Skill in the use of computers.
- Strong math skills are required.
- Ability to perform algebraic calculations.

Physical Working Conditions- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- This position requires working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Individuals must be available for work at any time, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Acceptance of an appointment to this classification signifies that the individual is aware of this requirement and will comply with it.
