General Description

Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is seeking a Temporary Seasonal Construction Technician in Laramie, WY to perform basic construction tasks under supervision to provide a safe and effective transportation system.

This is a temporary, full‑time position that could last up to 9 months.

• Construction tasks including performing basic lab tests and survey procedures.
• Perform construction inspections.
• Prepare and check calculations and data.

Preference may be given to individuals who can perform algebraic calculations.

• Knowledge of materials testing.
• Knowledge of surveying methods and equipment operations.
• Knowledge of construction inspection, including interpretation of plans and specifications.
• Skill in the use of computers.
• Strong math skills are required.
• Ability to perform algebraic calculations.

• Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• This position requires working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
• Individuals must be available for work at any time, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
