A rapidly scaling engineering company is developing and deploying a new class of mineral processing technology designed to fundamentally change how materials are liberated and recovered at scale.
They are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to play a central role in both technology development and real-world system deployment.
The TechnologyThe company has developed a patented high-energy particle interaction platform that replaces traditional grinding and comminution approaches. The system uses high-velocity slurry dynamics to drive selective mineral liberation and operates at industrial throughput, ranging from tens to hundreds of tons per hour.
The work sits at the intersection of mechanical systems design, materials science, fluid and particle dynamics, and industrial-scale process engineering.
What You’ll Be DoingYou will lead and mentor a small, growing mechanical engineering team while remaining hands-on in core engineering work. This includes mechanical system design, prototyping, and test campaigns, as well as solving wear, fatigue, and reliability challenges in demanding operating environments.
You will work closely with process engineers to optimize system performance and contribute across the full lifecycle, from concept and build through to field deployment and iteration.
This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring someone who leads through technical contribution as well as team development.
What We’re Looking ForCandidates should have a strong background in mechanical engineering within industrial or process-driven environments. Experience with high-energy systems, slurry or fluid systems, abrasive environments, or comminution-related challenges is beneficial.
A practical, hands-on engineering mindset is essential, along with the ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
