Position: Hairdresser / Barber
Location: Big Horn Rehabilitation and Care Center
Schedule: One day per week, approximately 5-10 hours per week

Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and compassionate licensed hairdresser/barber to provide hair care services to our residents one day per week. The hairdresser will provide professional haircuts, styling, and basic grooming services in a comfortable and respectful environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide haircuts, trims, styling, and other basic hair services requested by residents.

  • Provide services with patience, kindness, and respect for each resident's preferences and abilities.

  • Communicate appropriately with residents, families, and nursing home staff.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.

  • Clean and disinfect tools and equipment between residents and follow facility infection-control requirements.

  • Work safely around residents who may have mobility limitations or other special needs.

  • Keep track of services provided and any applicable charges.

  • Maintain professional boundaries and resident confidentiality.

  • Follow all applicable state licensing and facility requirements.

Qualifications
  • Current cosmetology/barber license in good standing, as applicable.

  • Previous experience working with older adults is preferred but not required.

  • Reliable and able to commit to working one scheduled day each week.

  • Patient, compassionate, and comfortable working with elderly residents.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Ability to work independently and manage appointments/services efficiently.

  • Must be willing to follow the nursing home's safety, sanitation, infection-control, and resident-care policies.

Compensation and payment arrangements will be discussed with qualified applicants.
