EHR Analyst
We are seeking a motivated EHR Analyst to design, optimize, and manage the implementation and maintenance of Electronic Health Record systems. In this role, you will bridge the gap between clinical workflows and technical systems, ensuring that patient data is secure, accessible, and compliant with healthcare regulations (adhering to HIPAA and Meaningful Use standards).
Core Responsibilities- System Implementation & Optimization: Configure and customize EHR software (e.g., Epic, Cerner) to align with clinical workflows and operational requirements.
- Data Integrity & Management: Monitor data entry practices and perform regular audits to ensure high-quality, accurate patient records across the network.
- Interoperability: Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to ensure seamless data exchange between the EHR and external diagnostic or billing systems.
- User Training & Support: Develop training materials and provide technical support to clinicians and staff to maximize system adoption and efficiency.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure all system configurations meet 21 CFR Part 11
, HIPAA
, and GDPR requirements for electronic data privacy. - Troubleshooting & Validation: Author validation protocols and perform system testing to identify bugs or bottlenecks in clinical documentation workflows.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Technology, Computer Science
, or a related field (Required). - Experience: 0–5 years of experience in healthcare IT, clinical data entry, or academic projects involving database management and systems analysis.
- Technical Skills (Required):
- Proficiency in Data Analytics (SQL, Excel, or Tableau) for clinical reporting.
- Strong understanding of
SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) or Agile methodologies. - Familiarity with
HL7 or FHIR standards for healthcare data exchange. - Knowledge of
21 CFR Part 11 regarding electronic records and signatures. - Preferred
Skills: - Certifications in Epic (Ambulatory/Inpatient),
Cerner
, or MEDITECH
. - Familiarity with Python or R for advanced healthcare data mining.
- Understanding of clinical terminology and hospital operational workflows.
