ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Champion Resident Wellness:
Manage complex health challenges and coordinate care that aligns with individual needs and nursing standards. - Comprehensive Care:
Perform full physical exams, diagnostic work‑ups, and procedures to ensure our residents thrive. - Clinical Leadership:
Facilitate seamless transitions for residents between healthcare settings and advocate for their physiological stability. - Empower the Team:
Serve as a mentor and resource for staff and families, providing the education and tools they need to support resident progress. - Collaborate for Success:
Work hand‑in‑hand with an interdisciplinary team (Therapists, Social Workers, Nurses) to ensure a 360‑degree approach to care. - Innovation:
Stay at the forefront of medical advancements through continuous education and professional development.
- The position requires a Wyoming State Board of Nursing Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license (APRN) with prescriptive authority and Wyoming State Board of Pharmacy certification.
- Medicine and/or nursing including pediatric, obstetrical, gynecological, surgical, and /or emergency outpatient medical care.
- Prescription and non‑prescription medications.
- Diagnostic laboratory and radiological tests.
- Quality assurance methods and techniques.
- Public Health initiatives and outcomes.
- Evidence‑based medicine.
- Current state and federal regulations related to the profession and governing regulations for an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
- Computer usage and use of electronic health records.
- Ability to work with and around WLRC residents, including those who may display challenging behaviours.
- Ability to maintain current provider cards in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and positively with residents, staff, families, guardians, and the public.
Minimum qualifications:
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the Wyoming Board of Nursing. Necessary special requirements:
Must hold a current APRN license and Wyoming State Board of Pharmacy certification.
