Sheridan County Sheriff's Office - 24-7 Program Tester II

Open Position: 24-7 Program Tester II
Pay: $20.00 per hour, Part-Time
Hours of work:
Saturday, Sunday and Monday 7am to 8am
Position

Description:

This position performs alcohol portable breath testing (PBT) to participants ordered into the 24-7 Sobriety Program.

MAJOR DUTIES:
  • Administers alcohol breath tests to 24-7 participants utilizing a PBT.
  • Records PBT results into the 24-7 computer program.
  • Completes required paperwork for any violations related to a 24-7 participant.
  • Immediately notifies the Sheridan County Detention Staff of any violation.
  • Accepts payment from 24-7 participants for testing and correctly enters the deposit into the computer program.
  • Enroll new 24-7 participants into the program.
  • Monitor the 24-7 computer program and complete related tasks within the program.
  • May be subpoenaed to attend hearings and testify in judicial proceedings.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:
  • Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of personal computers and job-related software programs.
  • Skill in the provision of customer services.
  • Skill in analyzing problems and identifying solutions.
  • Skill in establishing cooperative and productive working relationships.
  • Skill in performing mathematical calculations.
  • Skill in operating computers and other standard office equipment.
  • Skill in interpersonal relations.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent.
