Job Summary
  • The Bar & Pub Operations Trainer is responsible for assisting with training, mentoring and supporting the bar and pub operations throughout the park. This position reports directly to the Bar and Pub Operations Manager and is based out of Mammoth Hot Springs.

Mid March - End of October. Pay: $954.00 per week.

Schedule:

Typical schedule is 45 +/- hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays).

Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties toward the goal of providing excellent guest service in an efficient manner.
  • Primary focus: training and providing onsite bar and pub coverage throughout the season as needed. Participates as a trainer during the seasonal opening process. Once properties open, the primary focus is providing onsite coverage as needed, while continuing to provide ongoing training as time allows.
  • Support the teams in the field and provide onsite coverage in the absence of bartenders, pub tenders, baristas, and/or cocktail servers.
  • Establish, communicate and follow‑up on standards and expectations within each facility.
  • Maximize sales by using menu knowledge and suggestive selling techniques. Motivate and educate staff in up-selling and wine salesmanship. Ensure established standards of beverage service are met.
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner with the awareness that all actions and communications are within guest view. Ensure a congenial atmosphere for all.
  • Ensure a reasonable effort is made in preventing a guest from being intoxicated.
  • Maintain appearance and uniform standards. Ensure staff follows and maintains these standards.
  • Develops and maintains positive communication and teamwork with all co‑workers and supervisors.
  • Handles all guest service issues in an immediate and professional manner.
  • Train, support, motivate and follow‑up with pub and bar staffs as directed.
  • Maintain on‑going communication with the Food and Beverage Support Staff Training Team.
  • Follow Company and departmental environmental practices to minimize wasted energy and resources.
  • Follow Company and departmental safety practices to minimize risk to self and others.
  • Follow Company and departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Ability to analyze and react to financial information: revenue, cost of sales, payroll, other expenses.
  • Ability to teach, motivate, develop and incent managers and staff to accomplish goals.
