General Description

The Distance Learning (DL) Program Manager is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and maintenance of the Wyoming Army National Guard's statewide distance learning facilities. This includes fixed classrooms and mobile computer labs. The manager will serve as the central point of contact for scheduling, technical support, and administration of the program, ensuring its resources are readily available and effectively utilized by National Guard members and the wider community.

  • Coordinate all training requests and scheduling for the use of DL classrooms and mobile computer labs by M-day units, full-time personnel, and community members.
  • Oversee the regular maintenance and technical upkeep of all computer lab hardware and software. Ensure all equipment is operational and ready for use.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for users experiencing technical issues. Provide initial troubleshooting and refer complex issues to the G6 (IT Department) helpdesk for advanced support.
  • Monitor, track, and compile detailed reports on the usage and performance of the DL classrooms and labs. Provide analytics to leadership to inform decision-making.
  • Conduct required monthly travel to all distance learning sites across the state to perform site visits, ensure classroom optimization, and verify operational readiness.

Qualifications

PREFERENCES:

Preference may be given to the candidate with training and management experience. Preference may be given to the candidate with familiarity with the structure and operations of the Army National Guard.

  • Knowledge
  • Proven experience in program management, coordination, or a related field.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to maintain computer hardware and troubleshoot common software and network issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with military personnel, government civilians, and community members.
  • Experience in an educational, training, or test proctoring environment is desirable.

Special Requirements Physical Working Conditions
  • In state travel is required once per month
  • Employee must be able to lift up to 25lbs
  • A valid Wyoming driver’s license is required
