Senior Appian Developer Consultant:
Provide integrated architecture support for delivery teams and act as a trusted advisor to our clients. Help scale business by providing expert guidance on solution delivery and designing and integrating cutting‑edge Appian solutions into our client’s architecture. Mentor delivery teams on best practices for advanced technical solutions, platform design, and implement internal processes and tools to improve efficiencies.
- Lead implementation teams through complex technical solutions with Appian and tangential technologies
- Support design, development, and test activities
- Guide clients on architecture design, configuration management, Dev Sec Ops , and other program initiatives as needed to drive technical success
- Ensure solutions are built for scale and performance
- Create and document implementation best practices as well as knowledge base articles for internal enablement
- Provide thought leadership on process improvement
- Support internal solutions, infrastructure, and tools
- Mentorship, training, and enablement of resources
- 3+ years of experience with Appian solutions
- 5+ years of related IT experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or related area
- Active Appian Senior or Lead Certification
- Strong experience with Appian delivery using an Agile methodology
- Strong technical design and implementation and problem‑solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex concepts in an easy‑to‑understand manner, both verbally and written; active listening skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a high‑paced environment, multi‑task (prioritize and manage), and work both independently and as a team (team‑building skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a “do whatever it takes” attitude)
- US Citizenship required
- Preference will be given to candidates local to the DC Metro area
- Must be willing to travel (0‑15%) for client meetings as needed
- Appian
- RDBMS (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL/Maria
DB) - Web services, Integrations and Middleware (e.g., RESTful/SOAP, Mule/IIB/Fusion)
- Cloud Computing/IaaS (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Authentication (e.g., SAML, Kerberos, OAuth, LDAP)
- Data management and data visualization/BI
- Dev Sec Ops and/or Configuration Management
- Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence
