Are you enthusiastic about hospitality, people, and beautiful places? By working at Yellowstone National Park, you will get all three! As the Locksmith, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day maintenance functions that keep the park running smoothly.

The Locksmith role involves maintaining and repairing lock systems, managing key inventory, and ensuring proper documentation of work performed. The position also requires adherence to safety protocols, efficient material management, and fostering a cooperative work environment.

• Pay: $19.50 - $21.75/hour

  Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

• Responsible for the maintenance and repair of lock systems, both mechanical and electronic.
• Responsible for maintaining an accurate key inventory.
• Accountable for the accurate documentation in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) of labor hours expended and materials consumed.
• May be called upon after hours to provide emergency access to buildings or rooms within buildings.

• Must possess the aptitude required to complete common locksmith tasks.
• Must be proficient in the operation and use of common locksmith equipment and tools.
• Possess above average personal computer skills and be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read, understand and comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Must be self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Capable of and willing to advance his or her locksmith knowledge and expertise through on‑the‑job training and self‑study.
• Must be at least 19 years old and have valid driver’s license; good driving record required.

• May require the use of respiratory protection and will require compliance with applicable regulations.
• Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain and climb stairs and ladders in all types of weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Physical stamina to withstand heavy labor related work in an outside environment.
• Standing, bending, kneeling, crawling, for extended periods of time are required.
