The Agricultural Products' Division formulation facility seeks a Mechanical Technician based in Wyoming, Illinois.  This role works within a team environment.  This position requires an open minded, positive, high-energy individual with a strong commitment to results.
** Responsibilities:
*** Setting up and repairing all packaging equipment for the facility.
* Managing all troubleshooting equipment malfunctions in a timely and efficient manner to minimize production downtime.
* Performing major mechanical equipment repairs, including replacing motors, gear boxes, bearings or other machine parts.
* Reading pneumatic schematics and making the necessary pneumatic repairs to all packaging equipment.
* Ability to fabricate metal guards and brackets using maintenance shop equipment to include: milling machines, surface grinders, cut-off saws and all other tooling necessary to complete the job.
* Ability to perform some facilities maintenance repairs to include plumbing, pulling wire through conduit piping and assisting on other facility maintenance repairs, problems or installations.
* Responsible for maintaining a well-organized, safe maintenance shop to ensure that all fabricating and turning equipment is in safe operative condition.
* Willingness to perform and all duties
* Maintenance and repair of all mechanical systems and equipment in a safe, efficient manner.
* Carries out fault finding and diagnosis of problems affecting plant and systems.
* Performs breakdown repairs whenever required
* Shows initiative in identifying opportunities to improve plant and machinery performance.
* Assist in preparing and submitting requirements for spares.
* Assist Maintenance Supervisor to identify maintenance and shutdown priorities.
* Develop procedures to control the effective utilization of electrical, instrument & PLC systems.
* Provide technical support for all users.
* Provide after hour “On-call” support for plant on emergency basis.
* Participate in new & existing process development support and Safety Hazard Reviews

* Qualifications:

*** 5- 10 years of experience in a manufacturing setting; in the chemical industry is a plus
* Ability to manage time and priorities effectively
* Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
* Must have flexibility to work both day

* * night shifts
** Compensation:** $24.84 – 28.98 plus night differntials
