The Downstream Operator is the entry level position in our plastics Extrusion department. As a Downstream Operator, you will utilize standard tools and measuring devices to catch any basic abnormalities. You will be responsible for making sure the final product is wrapped around the reel in an even and neat manner.
What can you expect in a Downstream Operator role at Dura-Line?
- You will
collaborate
with fellow production workers to ensure that orders are properly wound onto reels for shipment to customers, assist line start-ups and reel changes, place the correct reel onto the reeler and prepare for start-up, operate the reeler (manual and auto mode), grind line scrap as it is produced and stack scrap. - You will use your
attention to detail
to perform basic quality checks that will ensure that the product meets customer specifications. - You will perform all work cautiously, with
safety
of yourself and fellow team members at the top of mind always. - You will help to maintain a safe space for your team to
share feedback and ideas
for improvements.

per hour plus $1.00 night shift differential - Sign-on-Bonus: $500 after 90 days, $1,000 after 180 days totaling $1,500.00

80-100% of the time. Must be able to squat, bend, or stoop as much as 25% of the time on some days.
“The compensation for this position will typically start at $17.61 an hour. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
