Essential Functions
  • Conduct nursing assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and evaluations in line with ANA's Public Health Nursing Standards.
  • Arrange and lead community health clinics and health education classes.
  • Support public health core functions, prioritizing services that meet community needs.
  • Administer adult and child vaccines, provide STI/HIV testing, manage TB testing, and more.
  • Provide Ryan White case management, maternal and child home visitation, lactation counseling, and LT-101 reviews.
  • Collaborate with the nurse manager and public health response coordinator on emergency preparedness activities.
Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • 0‑2 years of progressive work experience in Nursing with knowledge at the level of an LPN.
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming.
  • Valid driver's license (required).

Knowledge and skills:

  • Knowledge of laws, principles, practices, and techniques of professional nursing.
  • Knowledge of maintaining medical records, charts, reports, and observations.
  • Knowledge of the nursing process and scientific process.
  • Knowledge of applying medical diagnosis and treatment to patient care.
  • Knowledge of evaluating services and programs according to standards.
  • Knowledge of work management and leadership theory, and practice.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to healthcare.
  • Knowledge of public health core functions and essential services.
Physical Working Conditions
  • Lift/transfer patients to different positions.
  • Lift medical/patient equipment up to about 50 lbs.
  • Restrain clients for treatments, climb stairs to patient homes, and drive long distances.
  • Travel throughout the state and to national conferences if requested.
  • Work evenings, nights, and/or weekends when the situation requires it.
