About the ProgramThe Banner Health New Nurse Experience (NNE) is a full‑time Registered Nurse position that assists new graduates in transitioning to a fully competent, professional nurse. The program provides a collaborative learning environment, clinical mentorship, career pathways, and a comprehensive 12‑month training experience.
Program Activities- Clinical experiences with a preceptor
- Training in a state‑of‑the‑art simulation center
- Competency and skills assessment and verification
- Orientation to the Cerner electronic medical record system
- Patient care skills lab with hands‑on equipment
- e‑Learning modules
- Resources for professional and personal development
- Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program
- BSN preferred; ADN acceptable at selected locations
- Current BLS certification (AHA, Red Cross, ASHI) or intent to obtain before start
- No more than 12 months of RN experience
- Prior healthcare experience preferred
This full‑time, deeply compensated RN position is part of the NNE program and requires the nurse to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care in accordance with Banner Health policies and standards of professional nursing practice.
Core Functions- Valid RN license in the state of practice (or temporary/interim or compact RN license); BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 12 months recent RN experience in an acute‑care setting (or 1 year for certain roles).
- Experience in the clinical area for which applying is desired.
- For Home Health roles, ability to operate a personal vehicle, valid driver’s license and active auto insurance.
- For behavioral health roles in Arizona, an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and a Criminal History Affidavit at hire.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Professional certifications preferred.
- Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
Full‑time, paid position with $1.50 per hour weekend differential and 15% night shift differential. Eligible for Banner Health’s Total Rewards Compensation Package, including Health/Dental/Vision insurance (optional), PTO/Sick time accrual, 401(k), and other benefits. Benefits begin the first of the month following start date.
