As the RN CARS CARES you prep and recover patients who have had invasive cardiac procedures, structural procedures, EP procedures, IR procedures and medical imaging procedures. This position is considered to be the groin management and sheath experts of the facility. The RN will pull sheaths and perform manual holds to the artery as well as recovers patients from sedation and general anesthesia.
This role also Administers sedation and manages the patients intra-TEE and DCCV and holds STEMI patients and inpatients if specialized care is needed. This position will also have an opportunity to float to Outpatients Unit and main OR Preop/PACU if needed.
This is a full time position working 3, 12hr shifts a week.

POSITION SUMMARYThis position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
COREFUNCTIONS
Plans care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team. Reviews and revises the plan of care to reflect changing patient needs based on evaluation of the patient’s status.
