Overview
Maintain Casper, Douglas, Gillette, and Sheridan facilities totaling over 104,876 square feet of building space and approximately 15 acres of grounds and motor pool space in accordance with state and federal military standards. Use associated equipment to maintain statewide Wyoming Military Department facilities and grounds. Plan work priorities, anticipate seasonal maintenance demands, and account for all assigned equipment. Receive, update, and report on work orders in the work order system.
Provide call‑in or call‑back services to support seasonal needs.
- Perform seasonal exterior maintenance tasks such as clearing roadways and sidewalks of snow and ice, lawn mowing, and roadway upkeep.
- Execute general building and grounds maintenance, including basic structural repairs, irrigation systems, landscaping, and equipment upkeep.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on all assigned wheeled vehicles, tractors, trailers, ATVs, mowing and snow removal equipment; complete daily, weekly, and monthly work orders.
- Maintain irrigation systems, including spring start‑up, daily operations, and winter shutdown.
- Assist with identifying life safety issues within facilities; test emergency lighting and report electrical issues.
- Use computer workstations to log information, complete work orders, and submit purchase requests.
- Travel up to 30% of the time to other state locations (Casper to Douglas, Gillette, Sheridan, Lander, Cheyenne).

Qualifications- Valid driver’s license required.
- Required to obtain and maintain a Federal Security Clearance.
- Availability for after‑hours callbacks or work outside scheduled hours may be required.
Associate’s Degree.
0–1 year of progressive work experience (typically in building and grounds) for applicants with an Associate’s Degree, or 2–4 years for applicants without an Associate’s Degree.
Certifications and LicensesNone required.
