CWI - Quality Inspector

Reporting to the Site Quality Manager and Project Manager, the Quality Inspector applies skills and knowledge to determine the conformance of materials, equipment, and installations to specifications. The role includes inspection of various project activities, generating daily and weekly reports, notifying management of significant problems, and completing documentation to attest to satisfactory completion of inspections or test activities.

• Promote and comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Inspect and ensure the quality of work performed during the daily activities of the overall construction of the project, including excavations, concrete, rebar, welding, piping, valves, and other equipment.
• Maintain a working knowledge of the construction codes used for the project.
• Demonstrate good organizational, planning, and time‑management skills.
• Conduct daily activities in a highly organized manner to ensure all QC data are properly and accurately recorded.
• Monitor and record all work daily according to the Quality Inspection Test Plan (QITP).
• Prevent deficiencies by working closely with field operating teams through pre‑construction quality control inspections.
• Detect deficiencies and address them in a timely and effective manner.
• Inspect work and establish punch lists.
• Ensure daily quality task schedules are met to support the project schedule.
• Act as the client and field quality staff representative, ensuring construction personnel understand and follow QA/QC requirements.
• Interface with field supervision to maintain open communication.
• Interact cross‑functionally with craft personnel and other team members.
• Maintain complete and accurate records during inspections for transfer to permanent hard copies and/or electronic files.
• Determine the calibration status of measuring and test equipment.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School graduate or equivalent (GED) plus 3–5 years of experience in construction trades inspection.
• Industry certifications such as CWI or CPWI are accepted.
• Self‑starter with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools (e.g., Gal‑Gauge, Pick Gauge, Hi‑Lo gauge, Filler Gauge, and similar).
• Ability to read, interpret, and red‑line ISO, P&, engineering drawings and technical procedures.
• Experience with civil, electrical, mechanical, pipeline/oil/gas, industrial, and welding activities.
• Ability to independently perform work such as piping system walkdowns, structural walkdowns, and civil inspections.
• Skill in writing daily reports and documenting project activities.
• Competence in collecting and recording field data to ensure conformity with corporate quality control procedures.
• Ability to solve problems individually and in a team setting.

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to walk the property and lay down yards.
• Ability to carry up to 50 pounds.
