Thrive in a high-volume kitchen environment? We are seeking a Food Services Specialist to assist in the large-scale preparation of 500+ daily meals. You will work alongside a supportive team to execute standardized recipes, manage food prep stations, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your bulk‑cooking and organizational skills.
Responsibilities- Direct, coordinate, prepare, and supervise food preparation for meals within the menu’s guidelines, dietary requirements, appearance, taste, temperature, and sanitation standards.
- Train workers in safety and sanitation.
- Prepare all religious and medically necessary diets and substitutions as needed.
- Direct the portioning and serving of all meals.
- Oversee distribution of bulk food and pre‑plated meals.
- Ensure that health guidelines are met in the daily preparation of food.
- Manage inventory and review daily items.
- Complete daily inventories of knives, controlled food items, and tools.
- Observe and record food, refrigerator, and freezer temperatures.
- Knowledge of kitchens, warehouses, and food service equipment operation.
- Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations and universal knowledge of inventory tracking.
- Minimum 2–4 years progressive work experience in a Food Services role, or an Associate’s Degree (typically in Culinary Arts) and 0–1 year of progressive experience.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push 50 pounds.
- Required to drive a delivery truck.
