Yellowstone Retail is looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and passionate employees to provide unforgettable guest service to our visitors in our retail shops. We operate and maintain eleven retail outlets throughout the park. We don't sell souvenirs, we sell memories!
Job Summary:This job coordinates the Mail Order (MO) department at the direction of the Retail Distribution Center (RDC) Manager and Assistant Manager. The job entails processing customer orders from our online store, and effecting or directing Retail Mail Order Clerks with the process with the correct product picking, safe packaging and shipping of the order. This job also requires meticulous detail in charging customers for their order purchases and shipping costs, and processing the order into our Inventory System.
The job requires maintaining proper shipping supply inventory and communicating supply needs to the RDC manager or assistant manager, and the Retail Administrative Assistant. You will also train Retail MO Clerks in how to process, pick order items and pack orders. This position also handles In-room gift baskets, employee rewards and other non-online store orders.

Schedule:
Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (includes weekends, evenings, split shifts and holidays)

- Timely and accurate completion of all orders and computer processes related to the processing, packaging and shipping of online orders in our retail system.
- Maintain an open dialogue with all members of the DC staff, store staff, and support staff.
- May assist with any Retail Distribution Center task as business dictates which may include, but not limited to, processing merchandise, cleaning, and completing pick tickets.
- May assist with the execution of retail inventories.
- Ensure a safe work area and comply with all safety requirements.
- Train and Direct Retail Mail Order Clerks with order processing, proper packing techniques, and shipping processes.
- Communicates with customers through phone or email on order questions or clarification
Required:
- Must be able to communicate professionally and with courtesy.
- Have accurate and moderately fast computer skills
- Have ability to accept direction and work cooperatively with other department personnel and to function with other Xanterra Departments, as needed.
- Understand overall inventory control procedures; assist with inventory files, as needed.
- Willingness to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts.
- Prior experience in warehouse, shipping, and mail-order operations.
- Prior experience in paperwork processing and filing according to policy.
- Prior experience in supervising staff.
- Able to stand/walk on a concrete surface for a minimum eight-hour shift.
- Able to lift and move goods weighing 50 pounds, and up to 100 pounds or more with assistance.
- Able to frequently bend down or kneel to pick or stock product during a shift. Must be able to frequently move up and down ladders to put away and pull stock during a shift.
- Must be able to work in hot, cold, and dusty environments at elevations above 5000’.
- Must be able to work in close proximity of large game animals like elk, while respecting their space and not approaching.
- Must have hand dexterity capable of sorting paperwork and small items.
