Strategic Account Executive (SAE)

As the senior level liaison for our Employer
- Coalition client segment, the SAE works closely with Executive Leadership both internally and externally. You will grow our business through renewal, retention, and upsell of existing clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the strategic account team and owning client happiness and service delivery.
  • Developing strong internal and client relationships through proactive interaction and clear communication.
  • Collaborating with internal teams—account management, clinical, product, operations, and underwriting.
  • Influencing client upsell opportunities with consultative selling and recommending CVS Health solutions to meet client needs.
  • Delivering quarterly and annual reporting on drug trends and financial performance to help clients identify cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Executing client renewals and designing innovative pharmacy benefit plans that benefit both parties.

Success depends on a drive to grow revenue for your book of business and achieve high client satisfaction, while demonstrating leadership within the account team.

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of overall related work experience.
  • 5+ years of cumulative account‑management or equivalent client‑facing experience in healthcare.
  • 3+ years of PBM experience in sales, account management or client‑facing roles.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Valid and current driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Account Executive or equivalent client‑facing experience in pharmacy or PBM industry.
  • Experience managing employer groups.
  • Proven sales experience.
Education

Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience may be considered.

Position Details

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 40
Time Type: Full time
Pay Range: $68,000 – $189,964 (based on experience, education, geography and other factors)

Work Location

Can be located anywhere in the U.S. with the ability to work remotely. Travel may include flights, overnight stays and other necessary trips.
