The Deaver Irrigation District is seeking a full-time Ditchrider to join its team. This year-round position is ideal for motivated individuals with strong construction skills, a solid work ethic and excellent people skills.
During the six‑month irrigation season, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering water to more than 100 landowners while ensuring the irrigation system operates efficiently. During the winter months, duties shift to system maintenance and repairs, including rebuilding concrete structures, installing pipelines and completing other infrastructure improvements.
Qualifications- Valid driver’s license required
- CDL and equipment operation experience preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Construction or maintenance experience is beneficial
- Starting pay of $21.63 per hour, with compensation based on qualifications
