There are a variety of positions at our parks and lodges that range from skilled technicians to skilled trades.

The Electrician is a skilled trades position responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems serving Xanterra facilities throughout Yellowstone National Park. This position supports hospitality operations including guest lodging, restaurants, employee housing, retail locations, warehouses, maintenance facilities, and administrative buildings

• Perform troubleshooting, repair, installation, testing, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems in commercial, hospitality, residential, industrial, and utility applications.
• Diagnose and repair electrical distribution systems, branch circuits, panel boards, disconnects, transformers, motors, motor controls, relays, contractors, and associated equipment.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot interior and exterior lighting systems, emergency lighting, occupancy sensors, timers, photocells, and lighting control systems.
• Install and repair receptacles, switches, breakers, GFCI/AFCI devices, surge protection devices, and low-voltage electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues associated with guest accommodations, employee housing, commercial kitchens, dining facilities, laundry operations, retail locations, and administrative buildings.
• Support the maintenance and repair of electrical components serving HVAC equipment, boilers, pumps, motors, refrigeration systems, exhaust systems, kitchen equipment, and laundry equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Perform electrical inspections and ensure installations meet National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA, NFPA, National Park Service, and company requirements. Support facility renovations, capital projects, equipment replacements, and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Coordinate with maintenance stores and purchasing personnel to maintain appropriate electrical parts and inventory levels.
• Perform, document, and track maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and work order software.
• Assist with facility opening and closing activities, emergency repairs, and after-hours service calls as necessary.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to maintenance staff and assist with skills development.

• Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in commercial, industrial, hospitality, institutional, or residential electrical maintenance and construction.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
