This Software Engineering position, requiring 3–6 years of work experience, operates within a Video Delivery & Operations team. The primary responsibility is to document, develop, deploy, and maintain custom in‑house software essential for the broadcast center teams, including the satellite operation center. The focus is on maximizing the reliability, security, consistency, scalability, and performance of these systems. Additional responsibilities include providing support for operations and engineering teams with software support questions, evaluating requests for third‑party software, assisting other team members with projects, and striving to increase technical skills and professional knowledge.

Escalates mission‑impacting issues to senior team members and management as necessary. Acquires the essential knowledge to act as the backup engineer for all assigned critical systems, products, and processes. This position is available in Cheyenne, WY or Gilbert, AZ.

• Document, develop, deploy, and maintain reliable and efficient code using C#, JAVA, Erlang, Elixir, VB, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Python, Power Shell, and other scripting languages
• Build client GUI, console, service, and web applications to support real‑time operations in a multi‑user environment
• Develop solutions in a mixed Windows/Linux environment
• Design, implement, and maintain SQL databases
• Provide support to the Broadcast Operations and Engineering teams
• Communicate with team regarding new and ongoing projects and issues
• Participate in 24x7 rotating on‑call schedule to cover support requirements outside normal business hours
• Collaborate with senior team members with development projects
• Participate in code and documentation reviews
• Identify new tools/methods/processes to improve team communication and efficiency
• Support end‑to‑end systems integration and regression testing
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather and build requirements and acquire business knowledge
• Work in a high‑stress environment in a cohesive group setting; possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adhere to policies and follow procedures

• Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college in computer science or related field, plus 3–6 years of software engineering experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be a U.S. Person (a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) as position requires access to U.S. export restricted materials
• Spacecraft operations experience preferred
• Experience with client/server web application development of RESTful APIs using .NET, Java, or Elixir
• Experience using IntelliJ, Visual Studio, Git, Git Lab and NuGet development tools
• Microsoft SQL and MySQL database design and maintenance
• Monitor system health and performance through standard and custom tools and processes
• Respond to system anomalies, trouble tickets, and user requests
• Experience using ML for anomaly detection
