We are seeking a dedicated Human Factors Researcher to lead innovative efforts in the development of user-friendly, cutting-edge consumer electronics. The ideal candidate will partner with product management leads to design and implement comprehensive user experience research plans, influencing product design with actionable insights derived from surveys, interviews, and usability studies. This role is crucial for enhancing our product development lifecycle, ensuring the creation of products that meet and exceed user expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead qualitative and quantitative research efforts, conducting task analyses and data collection to understand human-product interactions.
- Apply knowledge in human physiology, cognition, and perception to enhance hardware design for smart home devices.
- Employ human engineering methodologies, such as ergonomics and biomechanics, to validate user experience and product interaction.
- Foster an interdisciplinary approach to develop and refine human-product interactions through user studies and ergonomic evaluations.
- Communicate research findings persuasively to inform and inspire product development stages.
- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Human Factors, Ergonomics, or related field.
- Practical experience in consumer hardware research with a focus on smart home devices.
- Outstanding ability to manage multiple projects, articulate technical concepts, and conduct thorough technical troubleshooting.
- Experience in consumer electronics product research and development is essential for this role.
