The Role

The principal is seeking a private chef to prepare high-quality, healthy, and organic meals and snacks. The chef will be responsible for meal planning, shopping, sourcing ingredients, meal preparation, and clean-up.

While the primary focus is preparing meals for the principal, there may occasionally be requests to cook for other house guests, or occasionally for a dinner party. The ideal candidate will create a variety of cuisines that are portion controlled and health conscious. To note, the principal does not enjoy bananas or brussels sprouts, and sugar is not kept in the household.

The chef will cook on-site 3 days per week for the principal and the staff. Meals will typically include breakfasts, lunches (often simple) and dinners for every day, available for the principal to enjoy at his convenience plus a range of snacks and staples to be kept in the house. This is not a formal service role—there is no need for serving, other than ability to cater occasional dinner parties, for which additional compensation will be paid.

The focus is on having prepared meals and snacks readily available, as well as stocking the kitchen with preferred items. Strong preference for someone graduated from culinary school.
