Position Overview:Snowy Range Ski Area is seeking a high-energy Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations for the upcoming winter season. You will manage daily food preparation, inventory, and kitchen staff during peak mountain hours. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and ensures fast service without sacrificing quality for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Shift Leadership: Oversee the kitchen line during high-volume breakfast, lunch, and après-ski rushes.
- Staff Scheduling: Build weekly schedules that balance labor budgets with variable resort foot traffic.
- Team Training: Onboard seasonal staff quickly on menu standards, kitchen equipment, and safety.
- Inventory Control: Conduct weekly inventory counts and order food, beverage, and kitchen supplies.
- Cost Management: Monitor food waste and labor hours to maximize kitchen profitability.
- Sanitation Compliance: Maintain a spotless kitchen that fulfills all local health department rules.
- Experience: 2+ years of kitchen management experience, preferably in high-volume or resort settings.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability: Flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
