Position Overview

As a Retail, Rentals & Ticketing Associate, you’ll be part of a cross-trained team supporting three key areas of the guest experience: retail, equipment rentals, and lift ticketing. Team members are expected to learn and work in all three areas and may rotate between roles throughout the season based on daily operations and guest needs.

Whether you’re helping a guest find the right gear, fitting them with ski or snowboard equipment, or getting their lift access sorted before they head to the mountain, your goal is the same: provide friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service that gets every guest ready for a great day.

This is a hands‑on, guest-facing role in a fast‑paced winter environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, takes initiative, stays organized when things get busy, and is comfortable learning multiple systems and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Ticketing:

  • Greet guests in a friendly, professional manner and create a welcoming experience
  • Sell and process lift tickets, passes, and other mountain products using ticketing and POS systems
  • Provide accurate information about ticket products, pricing, promotions, mountain operations, and guest services
  • Assist guests with ticketing questions, account issues, lost or misplaced tickets, and other concerns
  • Verify guest information and complete transactions accurately
  • Answer phones and respond to guest questions using available store and resort resources
  • Maintain an organized and efficient ticketing area, particularly during busy morning and holiday periods

Retail:

  • Provide guests with product knowledge, options, accessories, and current promotions
  • Assist guests in selecting products that meet their needs and preferences
  • Process cash and credit card transactions, special orders, and online orders using the POS system
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑merchandised sales floor
  • Receive and organize inventory, including checking shipments, tagging, stocking, and merchandising
  • Stay current on store inventory and products through research and training
  • Monitor guest requests and buying trends and share product suggestions with the Store Manager
  • Assist with store and batch inventories as needed

Rentals:

  • Assist guests with selecting rental equipment appropriate for their skill level, needs, and preferences
  • Complete rental transactions and maintain accurate guest and equipment records
  • Properly fit guests with ski and snowboard boots, skis, snowboards, poles, helmets, and other required equipment
  • Adjust and test equipment according to applicable safety and performance standards
  • Educate guests on the proper use and care of rental equipment
  • Track rental inventory and update records as needed
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance, including waxing, tuning, and adjustments
  • Identify and report equipment requiring additional repair or removal from service
  • Attend required training and complete certification necessary to perform rental technician responsibilities safely
  • Stay current on required safety training, equipment updates, and rental procedures
Team & Resort Operations:
  • Rotate between ticketing, retail, and rentals based on daily operational needs
  • Maintain proficiency in the systems and procedures used across all three areas
  • Work with other departments to provide a seamless guest experience
  • Keep work spaces organized, stocked, and ready for service
