A Field/Inside Equipment Sales Representative is the first point of contact for customers seeking solutions to their equipment needs. This role is ideal for an energetic, people-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a passion for building
and maintaining
relationships.
The successful candidate will proactively engage with walk-in customers and develop an outside sales territory to promote Compact Construction Equipment, Compact Utility Tractors, Utility Vehicles, and Production Ag Equipment, to help drive increased consumer awareness, store traffic and product market share.

• Represent and sell products and/or services to walk-in, online, phone, and field customers.

• Engage with customers to build rapport, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions.

• Deliver exceptional customer service with a positive attitude to ensure the highest satisfaction.

• Collaborate with the Marketing Department to develop and execute strategic marketing and advertising plans.

• Assist customers with on-site machine startup and training as needed.

• Work as a team player, supporting all areas of the store as necessary.

• Use strong organizational skills to ensure timely and effective follow-up with customers.

• Apply outstanding communication skills and adapt style to fit the audience or situation.

• Present financing options to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.

• Continuously expand knowledge of equipment features, benefits, and value.

• Stay current with industry trends and updates to better serve customers.

• Strong negotiation and closing skills to drive profitable sales and achieve targets.
• Ability to handle inbound and outbound sales calls and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Aptitude for learning product knowledge quickly and effectively explaining features and benefits to customers.
• Capable of building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers.
• Familiarity with inventory management, order processing, and sales reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with marketing and operations to support promotions and customer engagement.

What's Preferred

• 3+ years of sales experience preferred, with experience specifically in agriculture, construction, or consumer products
• Understanding of John Deere (or equivalent) equipment, vehicles, and implements
• Experience in construction industry
• Comfortable with mechanical issues
• Online marketing experience

Compensation is competitive and based on skill level, proven experience, and knowledge. This position is base salary plus commission.

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and a telephone.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements (i.e., having the visual acuity to read words and numbers on the computer screen and on paper).
• Hearing ability must be sufficient to communicate with others in person or over the phone.
• Light to moderate lifting may be required (up to 50 pounds).
• Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, and bend as needed.
