Job Summary
The basic function of this role is to sell La‑Z‑Boy products and services. Sellers use and develop all selling and customer service skills trained to meet and exceed company goals, achieve store objectives, and maintain trust and loyalty among customers and team members.
Key Responsibilities- Interact with customers appropriately and professionally, providing the highest level of customer service to all current and future customers.
- Drive sales by contributing to store sales goals through selling furniture, accessories, and services offered by La‑Z‑Boy.
- Complete all sales paperwork and customer service issues in a timely manner.
- Attend and participate in company training and store meetings.
- Assist in training, coaching, and developing new peers on La‑Z‑Boy product knowledge and selling processes to achieve store sales goals.
- Accurately complete order information, collect deposits and fees, maintain orderly customer records, and research customer payments and deliveries.
- Follow company procedures and policies, including policies against harassment and regulations concerning attendance, sales procedures, and customer interaction.
- Guide high‑end clients through a premium sales experience, create inspired spaces with world‑class furniture and décor, and curate luxury looks while earning commissions with no ceiling.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, build rapport, and positively influence.
- Vocational or technical training in field of study.
- Bending, lifting, and standing for long periods of time.
- Reliable transportation to drive to customer homes.
- Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale strongly preferred.
- Organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Understanding and ability to use computer technology.
Training Pay: $22.00 per hour for 2 weeks (no commission).
- After training:
Base pay $45,864 with unlimited commission options ranging from 6% to 7.5% on individual written sales, dependent on meeting specific sales goals.
