Court Security Officers are responsible for the high level of security required within the Royal Court building.
They operate a range of security systems along with the enforcement of policies and procedures to provide for the safety and security of all Court users, including the Judiciary, Jurats, States Members, staff, members of the public, witnesses and defendants, and to safeguard the building.
The post holder will also provide administrative support in relation to court usage and court security.
Court Security Officers also fulfil the roles and responsibilities of a Deputy Sheriff at sittings of the States of Deliberation and the States of Election, as well as playing an active role in ceremonial occasions.
Further, the post holder will be sworn in as a Division 'A' Special Constable.
There is an expectation to assist with on-call responsibilities and occasional evening, weekend and bank holiday working is required.
