Job Description

Position:
General Maintenance Technician.

The position of General Maintenance Technician plays a key role in creating a welcoming and seamless experience for all guests. This job description focuses on the expectations for the role and outlines required skill sets, qualifications, certifications, and educational background.

Educational Background
  • High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or trade certification is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
  • 3‑5 years of experience in general maintenance or related fields preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and IT troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and building codes.
Job Requirements
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs in physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Refined problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance of building systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical issues such as outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
  • Address plumbing concerns including leaks, clogs, and fixture installations.
  • Complete basic carpentry tasks including drywall repair, door adjustments, and hardware replacements.
  • Assist with basic IT tasks such as setting up office equipment, running low‑voltage cabling, or working with network hardware under supervision.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Collaborate with external vendors or contractors when specialized services are required.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
  • Prepare to work indoors and outdoors.
  • Prepare to help with snow shoveling, plowing, and salting during winter.
  • Hourly wage $17–$21 based on experience.
  • Housing assistance may be available per occupancy.
