About the Role

The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of facility equipment and infrastructure. This position is responsible for performing routine inspections, troubleshooting malfunctions, and executing timely repairs to prevent downtime and maintain safety standards. The Maintenance Technician collaborates with other team members to support preventive maintenance programs and improve operational reliability. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential issues and implementing solutions that enhance equipment longevity and performance.

Ultimately, the Maintenance Technician contributes to a safe, functional, and productive environment by maintaining all mechanical, electrical, and structural systems in optimal condition.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate maintenance equipment safely.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, HVAC, or related fields.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards such as OSHA.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or on‑call shifts if required.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and building structures.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to ensure compliance and facilitate future servicing.
  • Collaborate with management and other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and support facility improvement projects.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and provide technical support to ensure safety and operational continuity.
  • Rotating on call-call and rotating weekend schedules
  • Communicating with Chief Executive Officer (CEO) about facility happenings
  • Ability to critically think through processes and issues
  • Works well in a team environment
  • I able to work independently without direct oversight
  • Follows all policies and procedures set forth by the Facility
  • Follows all HIPAA regulations set forth by state and federal guidelines.

Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge allows the technician to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions quickly.
