STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES is the in-house engineering business line of Structural Group.
Position Overview We are seeking highly skilled Field Technicians (Ironworkers) with specialized post-tensioning experience to support WYDOT bridge projects. This role goes beyond general labor and requires proven, hands-on expertise in post-tensioning operations, including active participation in tensioning processes.
This is a project-based, contract position and does not constitute full-time employment.
Key Responsibilities Execute post-tensioning operations on bridge construction projects
Perform and support PT bar installation, stressing, and grouting
Actively participate in tensioning activities, ensuring precision and adherence to engineering specifications
Coordinate with field supervision and engineering teams to ensure proper sequencing and execution
Maintain strict compliance with all safety standards and jobsite protocols
Assist with quality control and documentation related to post-tensioning work
Required Qualifications Proven experience on a minimum of three (3) post-tensioning projects
Direct, hands-on involvement in tensioning operations (not just general site support)
OSHA 10 certification (required)
Demonstrated ability to perform skilled ironwork associated with post-tensioning systems
Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with:
PT bar installation
Bar stressing procedures
Grouting operationsPTI Bonded certification/trainingASBI certification
Experience working on bridge or DOT infrastructure projects
Additional Information This is a contract-based position supporting WYDOT bridge work
Role is intended for experienced, specialized technicians—not general laborers
Duration and schedule will be based on project needs
