Field Service​/Lube Technician

Overview

Field Service / Lube Technician — Croell, Inc. Sundance, WY. This is a full-time position with overtime, based out of Sundance with travel and overnight stays as needed. The schedule is day shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends depending on job completion and equipment availability. Salary: $37.00 - $40.00/hr (based on experience and qualifications).

• Perform a full range of diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and modification work on heavy equipment and associated vehicles, including conveyors, crushers, feeders, stackers, and support equipment (primarily Caterpillar and John Deere loaders, dozers, skid steers, with other brands as needed).
• Repair tires, wheels, wheel bearings, idler wheels/bearings, oil seals, and hydraulic and air brake systems.
• Diagnose and repair emission control systems and electronic machine systems.
• Perform minor repairs on engines, transmissions, transfers, and related electrical, fuel, and hydraulic components.
• Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using testing equipment (compression testers, computer software tools, test meters, micrometers, gauges) and strong diagnostic skills.
• Use technical manuals, publications, and equipment-specific programs to identify and order repair parts.
• Operate large heavy equipment and trucks to diagnose operational specifications. Be willing to perform duties outside the normal scope of work as the job description is non-exhaustive.

• Consent to pre-employment screening, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.
• Class A CDL and current Medical DOT card.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar and John Deere, Bobcat, JLG, Kenworth, and Peterbilt equipment.
• Proficiency with computer diagnostic tools such as CAT Electronic Technician, SIS Web, and Cummins Insight.
• Accreditation from a mechanics program or 3+ years of experience with heavy construction equipment.
• Dependability and reliability in attending scheduled shifts and being prepared for work.
• Positive attitude to foster productive working relationships with coworkers and management.
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions; overnight travel may be required.
• Physical capability to perform duties, including lifting over 50 pounds and working in demanding environments.

• Ability to reach above/below shoulder level; push/pull/twist/bend; sit/stand/balance; operate hand and foot controls; grasp and pinch; lift/carry heavy loads; crouch, kneel, crawl.
