Field/Service Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Installation Technician
Plains is seeking a Field Service Technician to support safe, reliable operation of our crude oil and NGL pipelines, storage, and terminal assets. Based in the Houston area, you will perform hands-on field maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems. Responsibilities include routine monitoring, testing, calibrations, and responding to service calls and operational upsets. You will work within a performance-driven, safety-focused culture, following strict environmental and regulatory standards while collaborating with operations and engineering teams.

Responsibilities
- Perform field maintenance, inspection, and repairs on crude oil and NGL pipelines, storage, and terminal equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to ensure safe and reliable operations
- Conduct routine monitoring, testing, and calibration of pumps, valves, meters, and related systems
- Respond to field service calls and operational upsets, supporting start-up, shutdown, and emergency activities
- Document maintenance work, inspections, and safety checks in compliance with Plains and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and safety teams to support projects and continuous improvement
- Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures while working in field and terminal environments
