Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

Plains is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to support safe, reliable operation of our pipeline and terminal assets. In this field-based role, you will install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment including motors, drives, PLCs, control panels, and field instruments. You'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance, support commissioning and testing, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Working in a performance-driven, safety-focused team, you'll help optimize asset reliability while building a long-term career in energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems for pipeline and terminal facilities
• Troubleshoot and repair motors, drives, control panels, PLCs, and field instruments to ensure safe, reliable operations
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance in accordance with safety and environmental standards
• Support commissioning, start-up, and testing of new or upgraded equipment and control systems
• Document maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs in compliance with company and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and safety teams to optimize system performance and minimize downtime
